15m x 2.0" nylon encased battle rope for advanced crossfit, boot camp training. Ropes have been used for military training as far back as the ancienty greeks, mainly for body weight training/ climbing, traversing, etc. More recently ropes have been integrated in to ground based training, focused on core strength and upper body conditioning. Battle ropes offer a fantastic alternative to cardio training, while strengthening the core, back shoulders and even arms! An entire upper body workout can be done with these ropes, and the core strength gains are an added bonus.

When we set about creating a battle rope, we chose 2.0" diameter Manila core to prevent decay/breakdown of the fibres. Manila offers better resistance to rotting than Sisal, making it the obvious choice. On the outside we added a nylon casing to prevent breakage of the rope fibres when in contact with the ground. We then added heat shrunk end caps to prevent end fraying. The heat shrunk end caps are moulded right in to the ropes contours, for a superior grip than screws and/or plastic end caps can offer. The end result is a rope that is suitable for either indoor or outdoor use, and will keep looking good for years to come. Net weight is 18kg.
